After waiting for 2 months on Amazon I finally got the WU wireless module from somewhere else by paying an extra $25 and cancelling my order on Amazon.
The module is pretty useful. Super small and comes with a cool case that attaches to your camera strap. Connects via WiFi to your phone (Android for now) and the associated wmau App (Wireless Mobile Adapter Utility) gives you the following 4 functionalities once you are connected Remotely:
1. Use the Camera to take pictures that will be downloaded and to your phone instantly. Take about a sec per pic.
2. Use the phone to take the pictures. can see the camera view live. Only provides the shutter options but it could come handy for taking family pictures on a tripod.
2. Downloads the pictures (temporary memory) for viewing on your phone in seconds. I had about 200 pics that were downloaded in about three seconds. From there you view and select the files that you actually want to download to your phone. Every time you close the app the temp pics will go away. You can select a picture or multiple pictures to download permanently to your phone.
4. You can "share" the downloaded photos. The share option gives you all the usual suspects, Facebook, Gmail, etc.
I like the last two option as I am betting all my techie friends on Facebook are wondering how I posted a family picture via mobile with this quality! :) Little secret iphone10!
Also, overall now that I have taken over 2000 pictures and 20 videos with D3200 all I can say to convey the quality of pictures, ease of use, speed, and other utilities made available in this camera are WOW and Love it! Money well spent and kudos to Nikon.

I waited my order from Amazon for a little over 2 months. I end up canceling my order and got it somewhere else online. Last Friday, I got this Wifi thingy and my D7100. This little thing is so small that I don't understand why Nikon wouldn't fit this into the camera. I would be happy to pay an extra $50 on top of the camera to have this build-in.
Anyway, I'm an iPhone 4S user running IOS6. This little thing is simple. Plug it in. Browse the Wifi on your phone and select the default Nikon... name. Launch the Nikon app and there it goes. The default setting enable each photo snap to download onto your device. I personally hate that setting so I turn it off. The download within 4-5 feet takes about 15-20 seconds per shot. Photo set to max resolution and fine. If you disable the download, it speed things up getting you ready for the next shot. At a later time, you can still browse and transfer the photos you need.
Another thing that bugs me is once you are done with the remote app, you can't just change the wifi to your local wifi. Bare in mind that I didn't troubleshoot much on this. I basically close the Nikon app and re-point my wifi from Nikon to my local network. Force close my Nikon app. The camera wouldn't snap photos because it is still looking for my Nikon app on my iPhone. What I end up doing is once you are done, you need to pull this Wu-1a out of the camera. It appears that you can't just leave it hanging. I will look into this at a later time because pulling the Wu-1a is the quickest way to this problem.
To customer that owns this, please do change the Wifi ID name to something outside of Nikon, like "Bobs Network". Don't even add the word Nikon into the name as it just tells everyone that you have a Nikon within reach. And also add a password to your wifi. But default, it is open to anyone with local wifi. If you want your photo safe, do change it. It is very easy to change via the Nikon App (at least for the IOS version.)

Use with my IPad and IPhone, when you look for it in Apps. it is only listed for the IPhone, but works on IPad v 6 and above. Only had it a couple days but have it set up on my kitchen table to take photos of humming birds at the feeder. Can watch on my phone while I am doing other things. Works as advertised with the ability to email the photo immediately. Would buy it again.
