First off, I have to say that I want to really like this product. I've been an amateur/semi-pro photographer for many years. I used to shoot with film back in the day, and made the switch to digital reluctantly. These days, I use a pro-grade Canon rig with point-and-shoot Sony as backup. But I don't always have my cameras on me. So, I find myself taking a lot of snaps with my iPhone.
This lens kit (which is small enough to ride in my messenger bag all of the time) adds a world of versatility to the camera I always have close at hand. In the week that I've had it, I've already taken countless snaps with it. The quality of the glass is really quite good (none of the extreme chromatic aberration I was afraid of), and the lenses do pretty much what you'd expect them to do.
That said, there are a few cons you should know about before you buy the Olloclip. First, the wide-angle lens really likes to come unscrewed from the macro lens, so you'll need to be careful when you take it out of the carrying bag. Second, the Olloclip itself covers up your flash. That's not a big deal, since the flash on the iPhone is pretty much useless to begin with. Last, and most importantly, the lenses themselves cut off the very edges of your optics, so you get rounded black borders on every shot you take. If you follow the rule "frame wide; crop close," then you'll be fine, but that was an unpleasant surprise to me. One last thing, the picture of the lenses that I ordered showed them in black, but the ones I got were red. That doesn't bother me, but it's worth mentioning.
Over all, I'm okay with this kit, but I probably would have looked around more if I'd have known all of this.

Works just as advertised, I am very pleased.
1. Put a house on the market and used it to take interior room pictures using the wide angle lens. The realtor was so impressed, she used my photos over the professional ones.
2. The is NO loss in clarity sliding a lens over the existing iPhone 4/4S lens. Pictures come out clear and bright as can be.
3. The fit onto the iPhone is very secure - but it cannot go over a case. This can be a bit of a hassle.
4. The fish-eye lens is interesting, but not very practical for me. Took an interesting picture of an entire gymnasium. Got the whole thing in the picture, but other than for fun, I don't see the practical use.
5. Have not used the close-up yet - but I experimented with it a bit. You can get "VERY" close to the object being shot (1/3-1/2 inch) and the image is clear as can be.
6. The item is rugged. It has been dropped a few times and nothing was damaged.
7. the lens bag is also a lens cleaner. worked on the lens and on my eyeglasses
The entire product is designed in a cleaver way and works very well indeed.

The Screen Protector Issue:
This is a very specific review, which concerns use of the device: It must be used on a "naked" phone. Although it is rather obvious that it cannot be used with a case or bumper, the fit and tolerance is such that it pushed off my Zagg screen protector instantly, peeling it up and bubbling it, etc. in the corner.
I did some reading of these reviews and didn't notice this point made here on Amazon. Maybe I overlooked it.
Since then I did further research and found this confirmed, that you basically cannot use the Olloclip with a screen protector. See also Olloclip's FAQs on their website. They indicate that 'very thin' screen protectors may work. I don't know what is thinner than a Zagg protector.
In the meantime, I feel like the device cost me an additional $15, since to use it I had to get rid of my $15 screen protector. (I am a little annoyed also because Olloclip knows this is an issue, but buries the info in their FAQ.)
I may try another protector and I will probably try to cut down a Zagg to shave off that portion of the protector from where the Olloclip wants to be.
If you read blogs about the issue, you will find those advocating for an unprotected screen-- that 4/4S Gorilla Glass is scratch-proof, etc. Of course I love the way the screen looks without a protector, but I don't know about that. My iPhone 4 got a small but fingernail-catching scratch on the front screen and I don't want to risk it with my new 4S.
If you are willing to go without a screen protector, then I recommend using a bumper or some other case which is easy to get off and on. This is a few seconds process-- getting the case off and the Olloclip on, but it is perhaps worth the effort of not carrying another camera.
The Lens Itself:
With a 'naked' phone, it is easy to put the Olloclip on your phone. And it is a tiny thing, and disappears in your pocket.
It covers the power button, but I found that you can rotate the Olloclip slightly to get the tip of your finger onto the edge of the button to turn off the phone.
So far I have only used the fish-eye lens. It is fun and you can get shots, still and video, that you couldn't get otherwise. There is some fuzziness, which obviously increases toward the edges. It is not true that there is no impact on the image quality, even in what should be the sweet spot. But like all fish-eye lenses, it is very nice for making portraits or shooting a detail in a much bigger context than you can get otherwise.
PS. You will soon learn to keep your fingers out of the way of the fish-eye lens. This will happen after you ruin a bunch of good shots with an edge of flesh to them!
Overall impressions to date:
There are issues to be aware of: in particular, the screen-protector issue and the power button issue. But if you are an iPhone and photography enthusiast, iphonographer, tech nerd, etc., this is for you, especially since a fish-eye lens has been an indulgence for the amateur photographer in the past.
