This lens does the job I expected it to do. I have a Canon T1i with two standard lens, the 18-55mm standard lens and a 75-300mm. There are times when I want a wide angle and this lens on the standard lens set at 18mm is the equivalent of an 8mm lens. Gives a 90 degree field of view in the horizontal direction. There is some chromatic aberration near the edge of the field of view and well as curvature, but I expected this and is only really noticeable when you enlarge the edges of the image. It does not detract from the images taken with this lens. I am pleased with the images produced in the wide angle mode. It does attach to the 75-300mm lens and I have used it on occasion and by setting the lens between 125 and 160 the wide angle lens gives me focal lengths of about 55 to 72mm, filling in the distances between my two main lens
When the front part of this two element lens is removed you have a very nice macro lens that produces excellent macro images with either of my standard lens at any focal length. Great close up images of flowers, insects, what have you.
Overall I rate this lens very high, excellent price and really two lens for the price of one. Will also rate the seller, Big Mike, as excellent and with very fast standard shipping.

It does work but not enough to make big difference. I wanted to try to replicate a wide angle lens for my t5i but this just didn't cut it. I figured it was worth a try. I've used it once as a test and then didn't bother with it. I should have put the money towards the 10-22mm lens for my camera. It's a cheap alternative to a wide angle lens and it's not really worth it in my opinion.

Needed to take some photos of small rooms in order to advertise a home for sale. The resulting images from my Canon Rebel T3i appeared to have more of a "fisheye" effect than wide angle. Using the flash helped to get rid of the dark edges but the edge distortion was still there. After Photoshopping the images and cropping the undesirable edges, there was an obvious improvement over the shots taken with the 18-55mm, standard lens, but not as "wide angle" as I was hoping for. I guess the amount of improvement is exactly equal to the price paid. A professional, true wide angle lens for the Canon t3i starts at $250.00 up to $600.00 for the 10-22mm top of the line. Don't look for dramatic results from this attachment but if you're like me, looking for a one-time inexpensive solution that doesn't need to be super high quality, or extreme wide angle, you might want to consider this for your bag. I haven't used the macro yet but I'm guessing the results should be about the same. This lens was packaged very well and feels very "hefty" - seems like a quality made product. I spoke with the supplier, Big Mike's, and they appear to be very knowledgeable about their products and interested in customer satisfaction. I am getting another lens to try and I will review it later, but this lens attachment is definitely worth the price.
