I ordered this for my son's 13th birthday DANCE party & it is so awesome. This product was way more advanced than what I had expected it to be. I was worried that it wouldn't be enough light due to the price, but it fooled me & the features it has completely shocked me.

For a relatively inexpensive unit, the ECOMGEAR puts out a very satisfactory and entertaining light display. It is perfect for a room the size of a standard living room.
I also discovered that it responded very well to the bass tones of my sub-woofer and modulated the lighting effects to match whatever music is playing. It is a plug-and-play unit and requires no elaborate setup. All in all, it provides an excellent value in a small, portable, lightweight and colorful package.

I purchased this unit after quite a bit of research and I am impressed at its light effects, different setting capabilities and being so small. More than me, my wife was so super impressed with me :) for buying this and then the unit, now she wants to have ladies night so they can dance with no inhibitions.
Writing this review after using few times. It is great for parties at home or in the community halls. It helped a great deal to bring in energy and motivation for people to dance. The best part is, it has sound sensor that produces lighting as per the beat. It is great.
Pros:
1. It is small (good way) for the capabilities
2. It covers fairly large area (14x14 room easily.
3. It is bright and has different settings and colors
4. Sound activated (great feature)
5. Very light so you can hang it to the roof just for the party.
6. Lights move in different patterns to create good effects.
Cons:
1. No manual so it hard to figure out the settings, I have to tinker around to figure out the different modes and how to activate them.
2. Wish the lights had more shape patterns than just circles. Maybe too much to ask though.
